Blood Red River

The post harvest rain has washed top soil down into the Don River. This is the first time I have seen this in the 2 years I have been in Devonport, and I wonder how the platypus is going in this stretch.
It reminded me of the blues standard "Blood Red River'. although the song was written with the Mississippi in mind.

hey wow, all that good red aussie soil - apparantly if waters are full of nutrients like this, it makes for really good quality reflections as in your capture - be interesting sun rise or set photo !
