I know very little about this mount which was bought a while back on a whim. One for the mechanically minded and proficient in electronics. From a little research on the web I believe it was used in the TeraBeam "free space optical network" system, which had modified ETX125's shooting infrared lasers between buildings in city settings and other applications?
The mount is extremely well engineered. It weighs 13.5kg and would hold a tube fractionally under 145mm in diameter.
