M83 - Southern Pinwheel Galaxy

Pretty happy with this one - This is imaged over 2 nights from my backyard in Mackay. 10x600s exposures at ISO1600, guided by Orion SSAG+Phd Guiding 2. Imaged on ED100 + Pentax K-3. M83 was one of the first DSO's I ever managed to get and I can say I've definitely learnt a heap since I first started doing astro.

Good work with a DSLR, Mike. You might want to see if you can get a little more colour variation in the galaxy and the stars?

Cheers,
Rick.
