Thanks Bruce. I managed to tease out some detail in the centre.

Dunno how I missed this, but that's a cracker raymo surprisingly deep for ~20 mins exposure time.

Thanks fellas, yes Pat, as long as I image east of the north/south
line I have good skies,[on the rare occasions when I'm not clouded out].

yes raymo very good seeing in perth last night, the first for a very long time actually
had very good intentions of setting up an imaging run on the horsie which is pointing exactly 180 degs from perth city and bugger me someone had set up a searchlight that swept across orion every five seconds!!
imaged the chicken instead which was nesting exactly over the perth skyline, i cannot believe how things conspire against us sometimes!
i could only get maximum 60s exposures at iso 800 and that was with a good LP filter!

We can't win. You get far more more or less cloud free nights than I do,
but have much more LP. I have not much LP, but over a year get only
around 40-45 useable nights. Last night, for instance, was overcast
until it was too late to force my old bones to get all the gear set up.
