Thanks Russ. The other obs has been offline for the few weeks due to a PC hardware failure and then the need to clean the mirror and recollimate my VC200L. In the interim I have swapped in my 200mm f6 newtonian for some lunar and planetary imaging. I haven't really done any serious planetary before, so im still on the learning curve

Greg.
ps. how do you stack 83 images? Do you stack in lots of 10 or 20 ad then stack the masters?

Thanks Greg! re stacking, I simply stack them all together at once, rather than stacking in batches. I do this for all my images - even those which have 100's of subs. It takes a while, but fortunately the PC I use for processing has 32GB of RAM which makes this possible.
