California Nebula

I know us Southerners aren't meant to image this beauty, as it's so darned low on the horizon, but you know me, always eager..

This is 11 shots of 5 mins Ha and just a few shots of 30 secs for the stars @3200, all combined in Pixinsight and massaged in PS.

It was real warm on Saturday, so noise was an issue, but I was still pleased how the image came out, so thought it worth sharing.

I think that's a very good effort Simon. I have an image of it taken years ago which shows car headlights on the horizon just below it which shows how low it is from Canberra.

Yeah that is pretty good, a great capture and certainly a notch in your imaging bed post

Thanks folks, yes it was extremely low, but such a tempting target for my F/L.
