A comet and two nebulae

A few snaps from the last month:

Thor's Helmet, NGC2359 - 6 x 300s exposures, ISO800, darks, flats and bias subtracted. Noisy because of warm evenings and few subs, but more than I expected from my location and equipment. Some alignment issues that I may have to look into too. I'll plan to add to this one. Larger version here.

Eta Carinae - 8 x 300s exposures, ISO800, darks, flats and bias subtracted. Noisier than my last effort (imaging in 24C does that), but more depth and much cleaner stars with the addition of a Baader MPCC. Larger version here.

Comet Lovejoy 14th Jan - 8 x 180s exposures, ISO800. Probably my last shot of the comet, already well into the Sydney light murk for me. Larger version here.

Very nice well balanced Eta carinae Andy one of the best i've seen.

The MPCC will have to be my next buy also even though my Schmidt Newtonian corrects some coma my stars still look terrible towards the edges.

Thanks Michael and raymo! Am happier with the Eta almost than I realised - it's a big improvement on my previous version

I really love your Thor - beautifully processed. What scope and camera combination for that one?
ps. Oops I see it in your signature - obviously the SW150 newt, but interested in what camera was used.
Cheers,
Bruce.

Thanks guys!

Bruce, the camera is a Canon EOS 60D, unmodded, and I use the StarShoot Autoguider to get the longer subs. Processing is slowly improving, PixInsight is quite the learning curve, and I still default to Photoshop for some things!
