14 x 30 sec subs at 1600 iso
ED80 with full spectrum modded 1100D
High sensor temp meant plenty of noise.
Still happy with the details captured.

Nice one Bo. Shows up the Ha regions well. Not so much the blue reflection nebula. If you were to take another set of subs with a blue filter and combine both sets I think you would have the best of both worlds.

I had another go a processing and slightly bumped up the blue and green.
M42 is actually a difficult target to process due to its bright core and faint nebulous clouds. I think this is probably the best I can get given the very short exposure time.

Hi Will,
This was taken at Glenmore, 30km south west of Bacchus Marsh, a few families go there (Lady Northcote YMCA lodge) between Xmas and New Year.
The moon was in gibbous during our stay, so the subs were kept short.
