BIG ! WA spider at 3 feet .

I was out looking at Jupiter the other night and caught this beauty dropping down from the shed's gutter torwards me , what a beauty a good 50mm across the leg span , a female I think ? .

Thanks guys. , taken at night using the zenon flash attached to my Nokia 1020 41mp smart phone, this Zeiss lened camera takes awesome photos , the high def version,s off these shots zoomed in look absolutely amazing on my 27 inch monitor.

Looks more like the garden orb weaver. Golden orbs grow to the size of your hand and have golden webs.

Brian, does the spider pack up its web every day and rebuild it every evening?

As far as I can tell, yes it does , it is a very busy spider and facinating to watch. , at a distant of course .
