These look very interesting. I am imaging with a starlapse no dec axis so autoguiding is not possible really. So getting the maximum length unguided is important to me. I use camera lenses so I get long unguided exposures now but I'm thinking with the lower PE and more regular PE ( I don't see the infamous spike ) the stars would look better as well as getting longer exposures.
I noticed that the length of the actual worm is a lot shorter than Losmandy's. What is the period of that puppy? I can't find anything on why they went with the shorter length I'm thinking the shorter it is the easier it is to get it all perfect as possible.
Ease of adjustment is a huge plus to me. And one piece design means you won't get the blocks out of alignment.
For my use I'm wondering if I could get away with his high precision setup. Not sure I'd benefit. Its sure tempting though
