Your own space launch kit!

Just saw on the news a couple of guys in Britian have made a business selling a space kit with a camera attached to a weather balloon. For $250.
You can send up lego men, cricket balls with the Earth's curvature and black of space behind them!
Looks good ,you could have your family photo "in space"
I wonder how the pics are sent back or how to retrieve the items?
Will these be dangerous for high flying jets and will we have balloon polution as well as light now?
