APOD - Io/Callisto occultation by Marco Guido 20" f/4 Dob with Argo Navis & ServoCAT

Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day is a 24 minute sequence taken
by Marco Guido in Italy earlier this month using his 20" f/4 Dob equipped
with pointing & tracking provided by an Argo Navis and ServoCAT.

I can not describe my happiness to see that today the image APOD !!!

It showcases what can be done with a big Dob provided with tracking.

Wildcard Innovations manufacture the Argo Navis here in Australia.
The Argo Navis computes the tracking rates in real-time on behalf of the ServoCAT servo motor controller.

Marco built the Dob himself and I have included a picture of it below.

Great stuff! I am certain that Marco would be delighted to hear that.

Marco specializes in high resolution imaging of solar system bodies.

Earlier this year, he imaged Uranus using the same equipment, which
may be of interest.
