Sorry, I just had to share this. It's one of my cats (Tiffany).
The first picture shows her sitting on the sill of a window which is a good three metres+ above ground level. To get there she seems to climb a camelia (not shown), jump to the pergola and then up to the sill, which, by the way has sloping bricks.
I haven't seen her there before so I ducked out of the room to grab my camera, otherwise I know my wife won't believe me when I tell her the tale.
As soon as I'd taken the 'photo she hopped back down to the pergola rails and prepared for her not-so-unusual leap from it to the railing of the rear balcony. I've watched her do it on many occasion but never with a camera in my hand.
The launch and orbital insertion pictures are a bit rough as it was all a spur of the moment thing and I was holding the camera against the window pane looking through a fly screen.
Hi all,
Just thought I'd share a photo of my lad Velcro also known as Astro Cat because he also enjoys observing nights mainly because he get to play in the dark and rummage in the bushes.
There is also another saying which is very appropriate
"Dogs have Masters, Cats have Staff"
When I'm early imaging at 4am, my cat goes crazy as well, running up trees around me, bolting from bush to bush, sometimes rubbing up against the scope and ruining some frames!
Good Point John,
he was scaring away the clouds as you can see in the photo.
He was also waiting for me to get the ladder and come up and get him, being a Manx they are not known for their climbing skill, he's alright going up but coming downs tricky without a tail for balance.
And he knows I'll come and get him
Ric,
Your cat looks nearly the spitting image of my girl.
As I'm writing this, our cat is sitting on the printer at the window, staring at the Mynor birds trying to bomb dive her through the glass.
Very entertaining critters. Love em.
Another saying about cats-:
Thank god they don't have thumbs.
They're into everything as it is, can you imagine what they'd get up to then?
nice! - yep there great - low maintenance ect., missus isnt as nearly allergic to them as the rest of the animal kingdom (especially dogs) so thats what we have - onto our second cat - both strays, and they both found and adopted us, I also have a saying 'cats are people too'
here's a film pic of our first moggy my other half took of 'leo', we had him/he had us? for 17 wonderful years!
If cats had thumbs,
now that would be scary indeed, they would probably rule the world.
Come to think of it they already do.
Leo is a proud looking lad, also looks like he is planning something.
