I see the latest PSP now supports 64bit, RAW ....AND....PhotoShop Plugins.
That may be a game changer for amateur astronomers.

I'm currently using GIMP but could be persuaded to change.

A hellva lot cheaper than PS, and 99% of the features - it's a no brainer!!!
