SUPER FAST 6.1" f1.25 WIDE FIELD TELESCOPE

SUPER FAST 6.1" WIDE FIELD TELESCOPE

FAST 6.1" DIAMETER f1.25 TRIPLET OBJECTIVE MULTI-COATED

This is a custom made wide field telescope ideally suited for comet hunting or just wide field visual viewing. To get the most out of this scope it really requires a dark sky, its light gathering ability is negated in urban areas. The 32mm eyepiece gives a 6x magnification and an extremely wide field of view easily taking in the whole Orion constellation. The lens for this telescope was purchased in the USA. It’s a very fast 155mm (6.1") diameter air spaced achromatic precision triplet objective with a focal length of 195mm (f/1.25) and multi-coated. There are three multi-coated glass elements air spaced and barrel mounted. The back element is a high index Lanthanum and Barium glass.
Do some research and you won’t find an objective this fast and size anywhere at any price.

MAGNIFICATIONS ARE:
·32mm = 6x

·26mm= 7.5x
·20mm = 9.75x
·15mm = 13x

The eyepieces are all Meade and they are mounted in a high quality turret for easy viewing. Focusing is not necessary for the 32mm eyepiece and the others are focused by adjusting them in the eyepiece holder at the focal point. If you are the only observer they never need refocusing. Focusing is only necessary when someone with different eyesight looks through the scope.
The mount is a Bintel SkyView Alt Az Mount which is a clone of the Vixen Porta, its fitted with a Train- N – Track drive system which is ideal for low power scopes like this.

The tube is finished in hammer tone grey with anodised rear sections in black and red, the lens cap is one piece aluminium screw on fitting. The lens cap will screw into both the main body and the 100mm lens hood. No finder scope is necessary because the field seen through this scope is wider than the any finder scope.

Price $2500.00
