light box project complete

Hi All

i thought i would share some pics from the build of my new light box. the whole project took me 2 afternoons. it wasn't as difficult as i was expecting and it seems to function well.

i got a 3w LED from Jaycar, it seems to do the job.

Just wondering - does it matter that LEDs don't give a true white light, but rather, their spectrum is typically concentrated in a couple of fairly narrow bands?

Um ... it shouldn't matter. Just so long as you have an even distribution of light . I am not sure if it will be an issue when taking flats with narrow band filters on but I don't do nb imaging.
