Another NGC253. Agressively.

I see so many excellent high res NGC253 here, Marcuses especially. So the only way to be different methinks, not being able to come close to the optical res of others due to a lack of appature (well, thats my excuse), is to overprocess. Its my comfort blanket. Click here for big.

Taken on an RCOS 10" RC Scope at f9, SBIG STXL6303E Camera and PME mount at itelescopes Siding Spring Observatory.
Processed with CCDstack, Star Tools, Noel Gabani Actions and Photoshop. 12 hrs Total exposure time..

Very nice Fred, the dust lanes and HII regions come out strongly. Just a little dark.

Looks pretty sharp to me. I like the clear and sudden division between the flocculent structured part of the spiral and the featureless outer halo.

Looks good, Fred! You'll have to try a lot harder to seriously overprocess it

Very nice Fred. Your amateur attempts at overprocessing need a lot more work.

WOW, what awesome detail.... One of the best Sculptors I've seen...

Did you superimpose any HAlpha exposures to get the red nebulas visible in it?

Looks great Fred! I'd stretch it a bit more though. Don't think it needs Ha.

PS: Colours look spot on.
