Far side of the moon!

Excellent image on LPOD today, of the far side of the moon.

It almost looks like an alien world..

Did SMART-1 take any far side images? I haven't seen anything from it yet..

After 2pm AEST the image will change to a new day, so just click "Next Page" down the bottom to go to yesterday's (ie: today's).

Very interesting Mike.
I've also just seen today's new image of the limb around Philolaus taken by Alen Friedman using the DMK and a green filter with 80 alingment points.
So cool.
