Quick and dirty NGC 253

This one turned out reasonably well when you consider I've been having equipment problems. It's only a relatively short exposure but it is a bright galaxy.

Cheers

Steve

Thanks Rick. I was pleasantly surprised. It's actually the first image of it I've taken of it in at least 10 years.

Thats sharp and clean and not as "messy" as some ive seen, brings up the dust lanes very well.

Thanks Fred. Never imaging this galaxy very often I was surprised at how well the dust lane came out. It gives a real 3D appearance.

That's great detail Steve!

Those dust lanes seem to float above the disk.

Cheers,

Justin.
