Grus Triplet

I have not done many Galaxies so I need to improve my Technique. The Focus was not great. But it's a start.

Taken at Linden with a Celestron C11. 12 Subs at 5 Mins each. Stock Canon 100D.

Some nice detail coming in there. Well done.

There are ways of shrinking those stars in photoshop using selections and median / minimum filters even if the focus is a bit out.

It's a pretty good start Charles. Expect I will be seeing an even better photo of this group from you in the future.

Nice one Charles. As u say focus is a touch out but a great result regardless with some fine detail coming out. Good attempt at a tough subject, can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks for the positive responses.

I do need to do this one again when the sky is cleaner. I had severe dew problems last night.

I need to learn a lot more about processing. Mostly I do Nebula which are a lot more forgiving.

Might be time to start using my CCD and use the DSLR less
