Hello All,
another cute little one I should have done on F10...
still looks good enough to me, I was happy just to get colors at all.
Cropped obviously

Combination of 5 shots: 1 X 60 sec (to check i was on target)
2X 483 sec
2X 542, at ISO 1600 ( I know...should have done them in 800...but I was desperate to get something after a night complete failures last night)

with C9.25, CG5 autoguided, using Canon 20 Da

hope you enjoy
cheers
frank

thanks
it's cuter than I expected it to be (based on my Celestron The Sky software image) so I might well give it another go soon and see if i can capture it better

I was trying for this visually on Saturday night with no luck. But Ron showed it to me in his scope.
Very timely to see it posted here today. Great to have the comparison.
Use your imagination a bit. If you tilt your head to the right slightly, I can see a (one legged) man standing , holding up a trophy.

Actually, I say "move over "String theory"", I reckon this is more of an alien-looking symbol. We label space points on computer programs...someone out there is leaving giant markers out in space to find their way around...we're just taking pictures of road signs...In fact, on some people's long exposure shots you can actually see the traffic!

Ahh, I remember taking a shot of this object with my ST7 a couple of years back. The results wer eless than pleasing, quite boring in greyscale. Your colour version looks much better

Roger.
