Helix, NGC253 and the tarantula.

Hi all,

Now i moved from a G11 to an EQ8, i finally got some pictures and have to get used to processing again.
So here are the Helix nebula, NGC253 and the Tarantula nebula.
Done with a QHY9 Mono on a RC8 carbon fibre sitting on top of the EQ8.

Wow, Martin!

It's been so long since we have see a picture from you.

Too stuff! How does the EQ8 compare against the G-11?

Three good crowd pleasers there, great targets to get back into it with Martin, the new mount certainly seems to work

With the G11 it was more beta testing the software and also beta testing Focusmax 4.
To me, the EQ8 beats the G11 hands down with the pointing beeing very good even after a single align point.

Thank you Mike, will have to do more obscure stuff too, this was just a small test of the mount.

I am very impressed with the EQ8 and it works right out of the box.
I can still carry the head with one hand and the tripod with the other so
it is still very portable
