Comet C/2013 V5 (Oukaimeden) / Rosette nebula closest point

Very nearly missed the shot last night due to cloud and me making mistakes, but somehow I managed to pull an image out of 7 minutes of data.

Shot with the Skywatcher ED100 at F7.2, Orion focal reducer and Pentax K-5.

A bit larger at astrobin. http://astrob.in/115373/0/

Thanks Dave and Lindon. Might swing around to 2013 A1 now since it's getting close to the SMC.

Nice one Kevin - you're catching some good comet images lately.
How is Siding Springs going - it will be near NGC 362 Friday morning, I have to decide if it's worth staying up late to image it??

Regards,
Tony.

Thanks Tony.

2013 A1 is a bit slow getting brighter. It's predicted to peak at mag 9.

Hi Cometcatcher, are there any chance I can take a pic of Siding Spring without a telescope ?
