Good morning, Australia

I've recently come across your site and compliment you on a well designed community. We're well into the afternoon here in California and if my understanding of the international date line is correct you are waking up to tomorrow's coffee. Have a good day!

Anyway I look forward to participating in IceinSpace in the future.

Hi Bruce, welcome to the site!

You're right, it's 7am on the east coast and the dawn of another day!

How did you come across us?

You've got some nice equipment there, looks like you do a bit of solar observing? Do you do imaging as well?

Anyway again and I hope you find some threads of interest that you can participate in.

Yep, it's rubbin' the sand out of the eye's time here. Man, days have either gotta get shorter or nights longer.

Thanks Paul and Mike. I actually ran across the site through mention on Cloudy Nights.

Mike, no I don't do solar imaging (and the appropiate qualification) yet. I did attend the HOTS conference on solar imaging last Oct and I'm awestruck with the work that amatuer's are achieving with the PST (and more, obviously) and CCD's, webcams, electronic eyepieces.

Welcome aboard, Bruce, I'm a relative newcomer myself but it seems the bulk of membership here is kind and helpful and always willing to spend your money.

Oh, yes, forgot. Mind the step.

Thanks, mickoking. It's a site that I'm looking forward to and will visit often. BTW, I'm old enough to recognize your avatar from it's original life. Peace.

Sorry, I actually have an Aussie slang dictionary (I'm trying...) and the closest I could guess was lemon tea. Get well soon.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. The astronomy community, small as it is, is truely international. These forums (fora?) are a super place to get in touch.
