14 August Daytime Jupiter 2 transit shadows and GRS

Hi everyone,

couldn't let this one go without a try 5:20 pm CST= Io and Europa shadow transit and GRS. Had a job to get colour any where near acceptable, due to blue sky and sun shine.

Thanks Paul.

I managed to brighten the image a bit. There is detail there, but cannot get rid of the yellow cast, without increasing the blue.

What are you using to try to adjust the colours?

Very nice Lester, excellent scale and a top notch image.

I reckon I could pull something out if you're happy for me to play with it?

Have you got a stacked version I could play with?

Hope you don't mind Lester but I had a quick play with your image.
(I've got no images of my own at the moment to process.... )

Tried to boost the levels and bring the black point down.
Unfortunatly the noise also started to appear.
I'm sure Mike can bring out the detail.

Very well done mate. I'm happy that you got it!

I'll leave it up to the others to reprocess your image.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Good luck with the colour adjustment. I was just processing it in Astra Image. I had to adjust the capture program from auto to manual otherwise Jupiter was very orange. When I capture at night I just leave it on auto and the colour comes out just fine, but not when shooting in daylight.

Mike what would you like me to send you and what size? Keep in mind that there is no broadband here for quick send and recieve stuff.

Hi Lester

Another excellent image under very difficult circumstances. You are a master of this - well done.

Cheers

Hi Robert and Dennis,

Jupiter was not very stable on the laptop screen, so I am surprised at how much detail was revealed.

I've gone through my 9 avi's from yesterday evening, it looks like 1 of them will have something worth posting. Will finish processing it in the morning.

I might even make a low quality animated gif of the blurry shadows

Hi everyone,

Here is an earlier image. With similar processing and the image has turned out brighter.
