The third image down,from China,looks like a 'Star Wars' planet location.

Yes some amazing photos there.
I remember when I first saw the Namibian sand dune photo in National Geographic I thought it was a painting of trees and an orange sky with small clouds, that was until my brain had processed what I was seeing and the sand dune suddenly snapped into my mind. Amazing.

Here's another batch. Some of these really put into perspective the impact urbanization has on the environment. Looking from a higher point of view surprising it's not worse than what it is now. But it certainly won't take much longer at that rate.

Actually the captions are in French but that's exactly what it says. James Cameron used them for the movie.
