GSO RC10 Fans

Anyone know where I might be able to source a replacement fan for the GSO RC10? One of mine has had it. I'm guessing its a pretty standard item?

G'day Erik,

They look like a standard computer/electronics fan. Try somewhere like Jaycar. If desperate perhaps RS Components or Element14 (previously known as Farnell...)

Cheers,
Rick.

Maybe you can find something that's a bit quieter if you're lucky...

Hi, I thought you were looking for praise of these scopes!

I can answer as I broke one of the fans on mine - and found an identical unit at Jaycar. But so far I have been too timid to change it out as it involves too much dis-assembly for one of my limited mechanical skills. For now I cut the power line to the broken fan and taped it up and just run with two. I think I will take the scope back to the supplier for a clean and ask them to fit the replacement fan. In fact I might ask them to reverse all the fans as I do not like the fact that the guards are all inside making the fans very easy to damage.

Do remember the CAT number of the fan? Yeah I'm not really keen on pulling it all apart either. Will probably leave it for an overcast week!
