Helix 5.5 hours.

Hi,

Here's my latest on the Helix, some faint nebulosity showing up around the rim of the eye, it seems to be cascading over the edge.

Need to pay more attention to the stars, screwed them up a little with the many layers I used in PS.
Apart from that I'm really pleased with the level of detail, plan to get a series of 10 minutes subs to smooth out the image more.

Unmodded canon 1100D, baader type III coma corrector.
66 x 5 minute subs, ISO 1600.
Stacked in DSS, processed in PS7 and Cs2.

Cheers,

Justin.

That's coming along very nicely Justin.

Go on, give it 50 hours. You know you want to.

Thanks Kevin!

Hoping 10 hours total will be enough for what I'm doing, given the limitations of an unmodded DSLR.

Thanks Rod!

It's surprised me how much detail is developing from an unmodded camera.

Cheers,

Justin.
