Sticking on a Fan Shroud - best tape or?

I have made a fan shroud for my imaging newt and looking for some ideas on the best way to stick it on the back ring of the scope. In the past, on my dobs I have bent the shroud material and inserted it under ring edge and these do not require any sort of tape or sealing (but yeah they can leak a little in operation. I was going to do it differently this time and try to seal it, with maybe a double sided tape or duct tape. The problem with those two ideas is that they can make a mess over time and make removal an issue. So what are you using?

Double sided foam tape is good because it suppresses vibration, but like you said it is a problem come time to remove it. Have you considered Velcro?

Thanks Allan, I have some velcro tape strips, but I would need to trim them down to fit the ring flange and they also leak through because the hooks and loops don't grab down flush like a tape would. Perhaps being abit a*** retentive concerning stopping leakage. I am baffling the tube just above the mirror to divert airflow over the surface so I want to keep the pressure up if I can.

Hi Glen. I've used some small magnets to secure an incline meter to the scope tube. Small magnets maybe?
