Moon Venus and Mercury over Brisbane city, 25 July 2014

Hi all,

Here's a few images of the Moon-Venus conjunction above Brisbane city this morning. Mercury joined the scene as well closer to sunrise . The first and last images are single shots with my 70-200 f/4 L telephoto, and the middle two images are panoramas of 5 or 7 individual exposures with the same lens.

A nice way to start the day!

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks Chris! Not too hard getting up for early morning photography when the weather is so nice!

Thanks Chris! These were from Green Hill reservoir in Chapel Hill.

Thanks Paul!

Here's another one, taken about 3 minutes before the first of the previous series, so that the Moon and Venus are closer to the city buildings.

Cheers,
Stephen

Great shots while I was deciding on my spot to get this I was wondering if someone would get a city view on it.

Nice work Stephen. I was hoping to image that morning but cloud forecast was iffy and I couldn't motivate myself to do the 4 hour drive.
