Don't I know it. Mid last year I walked 8km up the side of Mt Wellington without raising a sweat and a week later I could not walk 10m on the flat. Got me at work and when I turned up at the doc and said, "I have pain in chest", the world just changed. They told me I was hours away from a permanent reality check.
Subsequently got put on this innocent looking little pill that gave me techni-colour, Dolby, 3D IMAX recurrent screaming bloodbath "Freddy Kruger's a pussy type" nightmares for weeks on end. Wanted to die after a while. Then the quack gets all the results back and tell me I will live; stop taking the pill.
I had to eat 3 course meals every 3 hours or faint, panic attacks and shakes so bad it was like LSD withdrawals. 2 Months it took to clear that little poison and I think I'll take the bullet if it comes to that again.
Medications are almost as toxic as the illness sometimes.
