The Emu

Last night I did a test run on the Emu to see how much I could fit into a widefield view. It was almost full moon so there was a lot of stray light. In fact there was a very steep light gradient from the bottom to the top of the frame.

I can't wait to try this one again in a couple of weeks time under a new moon.

This one was 21 x 64 secs @ ISO 200. Dark frame subtracted, stacked and histogram stretched to within an inch of its life in Registax.

Excellent image Andrew - the outline of the emu is clearly visible. Look forward to the results 2 weeks hence.

Cheers
