Lagoon.

Another repro!

Happy with the way it's turned out though!

Thinking about building an Ark and putting two of every kind of scope and camera on it and floating to a drier place.

8" F/4 astrograph HEQ pro 5 mount. Orion mini guider.

Unmodded canon 1100D, baader coma corrector, cooler box.

24 x 10 minute subs, ISO 800, darks and flat frames applied.

Median stack in DSS, processed in PS7.

Cheers,

Justin.

Colour and clarity is awesome! I'm starting to think unmodded DSLR's have a better balance of colour than modded ones. You've somehow managed to bring out Ha even through the filter. And the blue balances it perfectly.

That looks alright Justin, very attractive look to it and for a very well imaged object it looks suitably unique even

Forget the Ark...just move to Chile with me ...err?..once I have convinced my wife that the new apartment I just bought her near Cerro Amazones is really truly in Braddon ACT

Must be close now, been wet for nearly a month now, our rainfall average is 200mm above normal.

Yep, no doubt about it being easier with an unmodded DSLR to balance out the colours when most of the work is already done.
A dark rural site makes a difference, not having to place an LP filter in the light path really helps.

I guess that's one of the tricks of AP.
Trying to make an image just a little different so fellow imagers will look at them.
Anyone that posts an image certainly wants feedback, after all it's all about showing off a little.

Chile!!!

Sounds great, I'll start my altitude training now.
