M17 The Swan or Omega Nebula

This was more of an experiment than anything, using the Refractor at F9 makes it rather slow. Due to the long 900mm focal length unguided, I only used 30 second subs, 138 of them. I think the focal reducer, longer subs and lower ISO are better. At F9 it needs lots more time. But here it is anyway at native prime focus.

Very natural colours and well processed. I'd be very happy with a result like that.
