Protective case fro Celestron Nexstar 8SE

Has anyone any suggestions for a decent storage case for this scope and mount? I'm a bit nervous putting into the hallway cupboard covered with a blanket and surrounded by my wine bottles.

Cheers,
David

Storage Case

David..... Bunning's have a huge selection to pick from....I have Trojan,
Stanley-Fat Max, Pelican....in various sizes to fit scopes and mounts...then fit foam to accommodate (cut to size) for your equipment. Cheers Tom

David,

Hard cases can be heavy and inflexible. For a softer option you could try Pacific Design http://www.casesandcovers.com/index.html

For my 8" lx 90 I used the foam packing that came with it and had a vinyl cover made up to fit.

I just use those heavy duty storage tubs from Officeworks/Bunnings. They are cheap and lightweight but not as strong as a hard case. I used the styro packaging that came with my c8.

The pelican style hard case is good too but they are quite heavy. I have a hard time deadlifting one into my car.

I was also considering these:

+1 for the storage tubs, should be plenty protection for domestic use.

I use a more heavy duty one for surviving airport baggage crews (collimation wasn't even out!) and bumpy roads, but it weighs way more than the scope
