Another M17

I've recently upgraded the drives on my G11 to a gemini 2 system, and have been figuring out how to get the plate solving and automatic meridian flip working. In the process I collected about 8 hours of data in Ha, L, R, G and B. I've had a bit of a play combining them in Pixinisight, and so far my favourite result has been just to use the H-alpha instead of the luminosity when combining the RGB and L images.
Anyway - 10 minute subs, 10" f4.5 Newt and processed in pixinisight.

Andrew.

I used the HaRVB script. The main thin I did differently was to use an RGB and not an LRGB view for the colour, and not to put any red in the Ha channel. The other sliders I set the same as when you combine L with an RGB.
Hope this helps!
Andrew.
