My attempt at Eta Carina

Finally had a chance to try my hand at imaging again the other night.

This is the result from 31 x 5min lights, 35 darks and some bias shots thrown in for good measure.

Stacked in DSS and processed in Gimp.

Comments/suggestions welcome.

That's a lovely photo Kev, nicely processed. Gimp rocks.

Impressive amount of light captured Kev. Those long subs really bring out the faint stuff.

Thanks Trev, yeah I don't really know what I'm doing but am happy with how it turned out.

I'm toying with the idea of trying pixinsight but am bawking at the price and all the comments I've read about the steep learning curve.

Cam, yeah I'm confident I have the guiding sorted out now so might try and push it a bit further next time.

Kev
