Melbourne had some good seeing last night - especially around midnight for Saturn.
At over 60 degrees altitude and at opposition, it was a great sight and was able to snap my best image so far of the planet - always a good sign when Encke's division shos up.
Only processed mildly for these two images showing one in RGB and another in IRGB which is why there is a red tinge but more contrast.
Still have to process my Mars shots and also took some Moon shots as well. Will keep processing away these images over the coming days and post them too.
It's also could be good tonight here as well if the high cloud stays away.
Just noticed this on the APOTY flickr group...this really is an excellent image of Saturn John, I've seen very few any better that weren't from Hubble or Cassini
