Has anyone got one, or had any experience with this mount, iOptron - ZEQ25? I'm thinking of getting one, and would like to know if it's OK for astrophotography.
You may be the first to be thinking about one of these mounts , but don't worry as these mounts get a great review everywhere.
I had its big brother the IEQ45 and it was so well made and easy to use.
What scope are you going to use ?.
I looked at it very seriously but the payload capacity was to low for my refractor. When you consider a mount for photography allow some capacity for the additional equipment required and then pick a mount where you only utilise 2/3 of the mount capacity. If your running a long focal length refractor the polar moment of the scope can affect the mounts ability to track accurately. I wanted an iEQ45 but they were out of my budget, I bought a NEQ6.
G'day simon,
there's a good review of this mount in the Australian sky and telescope magazine this month, also check out Paul Chasse's reviews on youtube,...sold me,just waiting for delivery now.....and waiting....
