Crux from a new observing site.

I went to have a look at a new observing site last night, about 140km from Perth. Although the high level clouds meant setting up the scope wasn't worthwhile, I did faff about with the DSLR and explore the place a bit. I think the high clouds and nearby town of Brookton actually makes the shot slightly more interesting.
criticism and constructive comments welcome!
Andrew.

The clouds certainly add a unique hue to the scene and the diffused stars stand out nicely.

Thanks Joshua,
I just noticed that this image appears almost 2 stops darker on the iPad than on my carefully calibrated computer monitors.
I'm looking forward to getting a cloudless night in at this spot.
Cheers,
Andrew.

Nice work Andrew, love the diffused stars and I really the red tone. One big reason why I stopped imaging with my telescope and took up nightscaping was because you can virtually nightscape any night so long as there's a gap in the clouds

Thanks Carlos,
apart from being able to fit all the gear onto a motorbike for nightscaping, I think there's far more scope for creativity too. Certainly when I show friends various astro-images it's the wide fields that get the 'wow'. Now if only I could learn to see the potential images the way some of you guys do!
Hopefully in the next year when my old R80g/s is restored I'll be able to get out into the real WA wilds and start getting serious about this!
Cheers,
Andrew
