IISAC roundup - with timelapse

Here are a few bits and pieces from Lostock.

The timelapse has shots taken over Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and ends with us packing up on Saturday evening. The sun shot in the middle was shot through my PST.

The widefield shot is a heap of 30 second ISO3200 exposures taken with a Canon 6D and 50mm f1.2@f1.8 on an iOptron Skytracker. The similar section in the video was because the batteries ran out in the Skytracker.

I ran out of time to get all the colour images for M66 so this is just L.

The M83 is LRGB but I'm not really happy with the colour treatment yet.

Fantastic timelapse and images! Really shows the star party well!

I wish someone had pics (or timelapse) of the storm! That would be epic.

Thanks Mike.
If I wasn't frantically packing up my gear I would have walked up the hill and got some better shots

Awesome time lapse Hugh! It would be nice if we could set up and pull down that quick all the time

The sequence of the Sun is outstanding. Nice detail in the triplet and M83 is looking very good. Not bad for really only two half nights of imaging.

Looking forward to catching up again next year.

Cheers

Rod

Thanks Rod, yeah that would be nice!
I wish I'd had better conditions to do the Sun stuff, that one was just with the PST on my camera tripod as I didn't want to uncover the EQ6 for fear of rain
It was using Jason's new Canon EOS-M2 with crop video mode, which shows great potential I think.

I'm looking forward to catching up next year too

Ah yes, and you weren't the only one, I think it got more attention than the Tak!
