7 Hours on the coffee bean

Hi to all

This is another work in progress as the weather doesn't look like it's going to relent for a while. Hopefully colour should follow in a week or two. This is the Coffee Bean nebula or RCW 98, a faint nebula in Norma that was originally brought to my attention by a colleague in the UK.

Cheers

Steve

Excellent Steve!. Different, interesting, and looking fine for such a dim object.

Its irritating that stupid Sky X doesnt catalog it.

Looking forward to the final version, Steve! I remember the wide field you did some time ago.

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Rick. It's going to depend on the weather which is not looking promising for this week (what a surprise!)

Thanks Fred. Yes both the Sky 6 and Sky X seem to be deficient in some of the more obscure objects. I only became aware of it from a UK colleague who regularly feeds me lists of obscure stuff.

Thanks David. Judging by the wide-field it's going to be very red. Maybe I could get away with just colorising it.

Thanks guys. I will be posting the colour shortly but don't expect anything spectacular - it's not that sort of object.
