QLD astofest site to be a casualty of new dam?

Had some deer hunters turn up form Linville today-not very happy campers,I asked why-apparently the graziers' property they go on,which is 2 k's down stream from Duckadang, will be under water, when new dam goes in (if it goes in).All the landholders have been contacted, and the new dam is suppose to be very large, the locals seemed to think the Duckadung site would go and all that lovely road to it.The wall will not far down from Duckadang site-if it goes ahead

Seems to be a lot of talk around Linville area on the new dam,the Newman govt is very pro the idea The whole time last week, helicopters flew up and down the river, doing aerial surveys.Hopefully Newman might get kicked out and this idea will be thrown out.Really would be a shame to see the lovely Duckadang site gone But even if it does go ahead-be still a few years before it starts.
