Sea Eagle and Osprey, Nth Stradbroke Island

Hi all,

I was camping on Straddie last weekend, and did a bit of 4WDing on the beaches with friends. I had my 70-200mm telephoto lens on the camera in the hope that we would encounter some birds, and I wasn't disappointed! We spotted a white bellied sea eagle in a tree, and as I approached it on foot it took off and swooped down close enough to fill the frame of my camera. And then we found an nice osprey that sat on a branch posing for me to take some images.

More on Flickr if you're interested.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks very much guys! I think I was very lucky to be able to capture these with a relatively-short 200mm lens.

Cheers,
Stephen
