This mount has been modded to make it better and easier to use. It has a 1" diameter stainless steel counter weight shaft that is a bit longer than the standard one. The original collar has been machined out and threaded to take the new bar. 2 x Skywatcher and 1 x Meade counter weights of 5kg each bored to match the new bar. Both altitude adjusters have been replaced with quality stainless steel bolts so you can use a ratchet and socket to refine polar alignment rather than the flimsy original ones. The drive system has been converted to a Belting Online drive belt system and works very well, movement is very quiet and smooth, accuracy after building a small alignment model is excellent, always on the chip. The bearings have been pulled out and re-greased, the whole mount has been adjusted and is very smooth. Worn shaft bearings have been replaced with a higher quality steel bearing set. Hand controller is near new as it has never been used, I have always run EQMOD. Belt kit maintains OEM specs so hand controller will still work with belt kit. The mounting puck has been changed to a Losmandy style one from Bintel and all original parts can be supplied if you wish.
Includes tripod in very good condition and spare tripod head as used to mount to pier.
