yep Jeanette, I'm familiar with the 'sleeping in' bit
I am a terrible site to behold when I finally do emerge though
Ken,
Have you got that stuff.... ummm... errrr.... I think it's called Soap-opera Gu
You just rub it all over ya head, and you wake up complete with nicely
brushed hair, clean shaven, sleep washed out of your eyes and not
a crinkle in ya p-jamas... It work a treat!
For those of you like me that will be traveling long distances to get to
Astrofest. It might pay for you to go fill the car up today. Crude is going
up by the second at present. And I'm sure the oil companies will be
pushing up prices early in the week, due to what's currently going on
in the Middle East. So who know's someone might fart in tin-buck-2
and push them up even higher!

Just filled up at $116.9 per litre (120.9 pump price - 4c/litre Coles voucher) which was a "bargain". Sheesh, when I landed in Oz in Aug 1993 it was 54c per litre. My salary hasn’t increased by that ratio , so I don’t know how the Govt calculates annual inflation figures.
Hi Rob
The petrol prices here in Qld are somewhat cheaper than NSW because of the Gov 10 percent subsidy and maybe some help to the guys from south travelling to Astrofest or at least the trip back. The BP at Colinton just south of Astrofest always have good prices on their fuel simiular to Brisbane.
Checked today with Motor Mouth and showed a few servos at $1.19 a litre for Brisbane

petrol 1 day ago was 146.9, this morning it was 137.9 so with a 4cent voucher it came down to 133.9. I have up my sleave 2 20 cents per litre vouchers to use on the way up to queensland and on the way home. in theory that should save me around 24 dollars , the sad note is that if the "middle east" goes up we probably will be paying over 1.50 a litre when we return
