Mars at opposition

Surprisingly a nice night in Brisbane for the opposition. So I got out the neximage 5 and 7" mac for some snaps. Mars has quite a bit more detail than my previous efforts but the poles arnt standing out quite as nicely.Took some video of Saturn at the same time. Both views at about 4600 mm fl with 2000 ish frames stacked in registax keeping 20%. Some modest hue adjustment in photoshop. I hope everyone else had nice skies too.

Thanks for looking

Jon

Nice work Jonathan – I only wish they were this close together; two for the price on one in the same field of view.

Cheers

Thanks Dennis,

I guess I am just jealous of the DSLR imagers with their beautiful star fields and nebulas.

Cheers
