[SOLD] HEQ5 with belt drive

For sale is a used HEQ5 pro goto mount with belt drive mod.

Whats included:

• Mount.
• Tripod.
• EQUSB cable.
• Belt drive & original gears if you wish to put them back on.
• 2x weights
• Hand controller + cables

The mount is in good working condition. Has been re-greased. It is roughly 2years old and hasn't had much use over the past year as i upgraded to an NEQ6.

There are two strips of velcro on the unit (visible in pic). They can be removed if you don't want them.
Selling as it is not used anymore and my mortgage demands souls... I mean, money.

Which kit did you use to do the modification? Did the mod include any extra machining ? Have you done any tests on the periodic error with/without the mod?

Hi,

The belt mod kit was from Rowan Engineering

There was no extra machining required and it maintains the same pulley ratio as the gears, so you can use the hand controller/EQUSB without any modifications.

I have not done any periodic error tests with and without the mod. I used the mount twice since i installed the belt mod, before receiving my NEQ6. In storage it has sat since.
