All our electricity problems solved

I've just solved the worlds electricity woes. There is a star in space that emits jets of electricity. Just one jet alone sends out one million trillion amps. That's enough electricity to run our earths power needs for the next 20 trillion years. Now we just need to catch one and store it somewhere. Any sparkies keen to give me a hand?

All sounds good in theory.

I foresee a few technical hitches on the practical side though.

Since were not gonna achieve nuclear fusion on earth as a cheap alternative source of energy,we might as well consider all possibilities no matter how outrageous it may see.

Pity we can't utilise lightning. There's plenty of that around!

Don't worry, we already have a star that can provide our electricity needs, particularly for us in Australia. And we already have the technology to harness it. We just need the political will and the industry support to achieve that.

Stop dreaming.
The Sunlight basking our planet in one day alone, equates to more energy than we have used since day one. One sq meter of sunlight in summer is one kw.
The question is, how to harness this energy in an efficient and cheap way?
The energy is there for the taking and it is clean and renewal.
Start thinking!

If you want something done, don't wait for politicians to do it. "They" are currently contemplating abandoning current emissions targets, gutting the CSIRO and suppressing debate.

Owned by coal, corrupt to the core... IMHO

Bet this post gets nailed in 30 minutes or less...
