Another Mars

Better seeing this time around, but I'm still limited to f/10 and a focal length of 2500mm with my Meade LX200-ACF 10". I used a Canon 600d in HD video mode. The processing still isn't quite right.

It seems to be a difficult target. The polar cap is quite clear. Is that lighter patch in the mid lattitudes Olympus Mons?

I don't have a barlow. I'm not sure what the mid-latitude bright spot is - it seems to be a real feature though, if somewhat exaggerated due to my low resolution and aggressive processing. Edit: It seems it's probably the Hellas plane - it helps if you read the map the right way - the image is South Pole up!

Maurice's high resolution shot shows something similar (and a lot better!).
